How it works
Recordings are made in three steps, entirely on this computer.
- 01Set upChoose a microphone and camera. Add a script if you want a teleprompter.
- 02RecordChoose a screen, window, tab or the camera alone. Recording starts after a countdown.
- 03DownloadThe video is converted to MP4 on your computer. Trim the ends if needed, then download.

Privacy, limits and browser support.
Is my recording uploaded?
No. Capture, camera effects, audio mixing and MP4 conversion all run in your browser. The file stays on your computer until you download or delete it.
Is there a time limit or watermark?
No. Video is written to disk as you record, so length is limited only by free disk space.
How does the teleprompter work?
In Chrome and Edge, the teleprompter opens in an always-on-top window that you can place under your webcam. It scrolls while recording and stops when you pause.
Will the teleprompter appear in the video?
Only when recording the entire screen. Move it to another display, or record a window or tab instead.
What if the browser crashes?
The recording is saved to disk every few seconds and can be recovered the next time you open the recorder.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the recorder has loaded. In Chrome and Edge you can also install it as an app from the address bar.
Which browsers are supported?
Desktop Chrome and Edge support all features. Firefox and Safari support screen and microphone recording. Phones and tablets are not supported.
